Suzie McMurtry

bio

Suzie McMurtry (b. 1995) is an interdisciplinary artist and design researcher from the San Francisco Bay Area, where she lives now.

In 2017, she received a BA in Studio Art from Colorado College, after which she worked at galleries, in makerspaces, for small sustainable clothing brands, and as a photographer while nurturing an art practice.

While living in London 2020-2024, she completed an MA in Material Futures at Central Saint Martins and then worked as a designer on a team in the central government, using human-centered design methods to make policy more effective, dynamic, and participatory. She has shown work in Colorado, California, Massachussetts, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.

I am currently available to:
design & deliver creative stakeholder engagement workshops with bespoke tools;
co-design immersive, collaborative experiences with qualitative research outcomes;
& consult on shaping research synthesis & communication strategy (including graphic & layout support).

I’m currently working freelance, but am also open to full time design research roles on teams with public impact. Please reach out and check out my CV .
